I'm not trying to get some heavy duty machine. I am not sure on whether to get a router or mill, and have a strict budget. I'm pretty new to how this all works, so I came here in the hopes that I could have someone help me narrow down what would be best for my purposes.
I need something specifically under $1k, and I would really prefer it to be on the lower side. (I do not have much spare cash as gas and car stuff is expensive...)
Bare minimum it needs to be able to cut aluminum and aluminum sheets. The bed size can vary, but it CANNOT be small or just a rectangular strip. It can, however, be a square-ish rectangle. I'm looking for something between 15×15 inch and a minimum 10x10. If you're going to suggest something, please keep the deviation of one by a maximum of 3 in. Eg: 13x10 or 12x15.
My second to last requirement: it has to be desktop. It must be able to sit on a desk.
Final need: It must be easy to use with almost no errors, or if there are errors the problems can be easily spotted and solved.
Optional: ability to accept CAD files or software. Could be either pre-built or assembly required.
The most important parts are:
It needs to be desktop.
It cannot be over $900 with tax.
The bed must be above 10x10 and below 15x15 with a square-ish or square shape. No long strips or rectangles please.
