PF Claim Rejected – EPS issue even though salary was higher? Need help understanding

Hey everyone,

My PF withdrawal claim (Form 19) just got rejected and I’m confused about the reason.

The rejection message says:

But here’s my situation:

• My in-hand salary was around ₹32,000
• In EPF passbook:
  • EPF wages show ₹15,000
  • EPS wages = 0
  • Pension contribution = 0

I only applied using Form 19, not Form 10C.

From what I understand now:

• EPFO considers Basic + DA (₹15K in my case), not in-hand salary
• Since it’s ₹15K, EPS should have been applicable
• But my employer didn’t contribute anything to EPS

So I have a few questions:

1. Is this rejection because I didn’t file Form 10C along with Form 19?
2. Or is it mainly due to missing EPS contribution from employer?
3. If EPS shows 0, will Form 10C also get rejected?
4. Should I reapply (19 + 10C), or wait for employer to fix records?
5. Has anyone faced this exact issue? What worked for you?

I’ve already emailed my employer for correction, but not sure how long that takes.
