Is it possible to become pain-free?

25F here. I’m starting to look into my bunions and flat feet issues, which i believe to be genetic.

Recently I’ve been working as a waitress and often need to stand for over 10 hours. This causes (inner) knee, lower back and feet (around the bunion and 1st metatarsal areas) soreness/pain. I used to powerlift and found out I have extremely poor ankle mobility. I could squat without squat shoes but my foot arch collapses completely and my outer heels would lift a little. I think this started my knee pain.

Just wondering is my case severe? Is it a wishful thinking to become pain-free through non-surgical treatments? I’m about to start nursing school and the job nature of standing for a long time really concerns me.

I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes for about a year and they don’t help at all, so now I’m looking for insole with arch support.

25f. Nursing is gonna be my second degree. I want to be a nurse because of the career, stability and the fact that I can work pretty much everywhere.

I’ve got rn offers from colleges in Windsor and Sudbury. Originally planned to apply for the learn and stay grant but I’ll have to reconsider because of the job market. Plus I prefer studying in Windsor because of the weather, which I know the job market is gonna be even tougher. But I’m also worried that I can’t support myself financially if I don’t apply for the learn and stay grant. So I’m in a dilemma.

But now I don’t even know if it’s a good idea to start at all from all the posts I’ve seen where new grads having trouble finding even a ltc job.

I know in the ends it’s my decision to make but I’d like some opinions. Any insights will be appreciated.
