Hi, I’m a Mandaean woman and I’m really struggling with something personal and would appreciate hearing real experiences from others in the community. Has anyone here gone through a religious marriage ceremony ( Maher) while not being a virgin? How did it work for you, especially with the physical check? did anyone find out or was it not as strict as it seems?

I feel a lot of pressure and fear around this and it’s affecting how I think about relationships and marriage. I’m also considering hymenoplasty and wanted to ask if anyone has experience with it did it help in your situation, and was it actually effective for what you needed? I’d really appreciate honest, non judgmental responses. Thank you
