Dress Rehearsal: Spoilers!
Not exact running order:
Cold Open - Political, with Peter Serafinowicz playing Farage in the future. Al as Churchill, George as Kier, Celeste as Angela
Monologue - Hannah doing a ‘I won’t sing’ thing with brief appearances by Larry and Jack
Pre-Tape - Hannah and Emma are sunburned lawyers. That’s it. They do get the job done though…
Speed Awareness course - Hannah as an enthusiastic northern driving instructor who puts each student in a scenario forcing them to speed but it clearly all links back to her personal life. Includes Jack, George, Annabel and Emma. Al appears at the end as a cyclops child (it will all make sense)
Mysterious Cave - set in the jungle, Hannah and Ayoade as explorers. The mysterious cave they discover grants them their wishes very easily but wants them to stick around and be someone for the cave to talk to. Hilarious flub where a carrier bag Hannah was supposed to have wasn’t given to her so she had to try and style it out!
Myles Smith - Stargazing
Weekend Update - Al Nash as a shy Reform voter, Celeste as Paddy’s Mum, Jack Shep as a European dating consultant with dating tips and a great bit with Hammed as a Rhino calling out George as David Attenborough which turns into a wrestling match
Pre-Tape 2 - Emma and George as parents of Jack, Annabel and Al just turning 18. Turns out Emma is actually Daniel Day-Lewis method acting for his next role.
Foot Locker sketch - Hannah comes in with George and their unseen daughter as customers, Al is a shop assistant which turns out to be the phantom of the opera, and keeps trying to win her back through song and foot measuring. Their daughter is revealed to be wearing the phantom mask. Brief appearance by Annabel.
Jason Statham - Hannah plays Jason Statham with his head stuck in the bars in a park railing (obviously). Emma, Hammed and George play runners and the park keeper to try to stop Jason from doing this but end up putting their heads in the railings too.
Myles Smith - Hold Me in the Dark
School Musical sketch - Hannah and Annabel as secondary school drama teachers, with Jack, Emma, Celeste and Ayoade as students. The students want to do Frozen but the teachers would rather do a school play based on their impending divorces.
Pre-Tape 3 - Follow up to Helen Birch falling down the hill. Despite her now being mounted in a full body brace, she still ends up falling down the hill. Al takes over and ends up in the same way!
Bar sketch - Hannah, Ayoade and Annabel sing about their capabilities after x number of glasses of wine. Celeste comes in as someone who has clearly had too many and causes chaos in the studio.
