Starting In The Industry
I'm mostly interested in what the pathway is to becoming a Journeyman from scratch in the current market climate. I've mostly seen 900 hour courses through local trade schools and job postings for electrician helpers. Is there a preferred method, are the courses needed, and what should I look for and out for in job/schooling postings?
I'm a 31 year old male with a prior bachelor's degree in science, haven't used it much. I've spent the last 6 years working operations in a few industrial manufacturing facilities. Single and own a house, but travel isn't out of the question. A pay cut is expected to retool into the industry.
