My age: 32

Country: USA

Vet info: been followed by my vet since I adopted her. Had an appointment today and another in a week. I have taken her to the vet almost weekly since adopting her

Cat info: Clover, Siamese mix, spayed female, 5 mos. Old

Main issue: I adopted Clover in mid March. What started out as a URI turned into an allergic reaction to Terramycin. We saw our vet got steroids and she responded well. Then her eyes flared again with unknown cause. I start the steroid drops again and responded but as soon as we stopped them she flared once more. I took her into the vet where he said she’s still having allergies plus a yeast infection in her ears (about to go pick up those meds). He recommended Gen Teal Eye Lube to help calm her eyes down. I didn’t realize there are so many varieties. Has anyone used this and if so what which type? I feel bad annoying my vet with another call. It is very difficult to get the drops in her eyes. I feel awful for potentially traumatizing her but she’s probably so uncomfortable and constantly rubbing and itching her face.

He also suggested switching her litter. She is on a corn based litter currently. Has anyone experienced a cat allergic to an unscented corn litter? I even bought a whole new stainless steel litter box plus Dr elseys litter and litter box liners

I’ll include a few pictures of when her eyes were not in a flare and when they were.

Any advice is welcome, please be gentle. She is everything to me and I adore her. I’m more than willing to provide additional details if needed.

Finances: I can afford vet care and have pet insurance.

Thank you so much.
