The Willow with Wet Feet
Hello, I've never posted on this sub before so, but I love poetry so here I am.
A few years ago I had a bad drug addiction, which I kicked thankfully and was able to start a family. I was going through some old files on my laptop and discovered a poem I had wrote while I was high one day, an I just wanted to share with you all and see what you think.
There is a tree in New Zealand called the Wanaka tree, it grows in the middle of a lake and looks out of place. I remember seeing a photo of it and immediately being inspired to write, I wrote the poem then completely forgot about it for years. Here is a picture of the tree, and my short poem to go with it, I hope you enjoy.
