Recently came into a 1 yr old black capped conure. We’ve had him roughly 2 weeks. I’ve left his cage open ( all day, but covered with a blanket at night)so he can venture and explore. Yet he refuses to leave his cage. He will sit at the door, but won’t leave. He won’t take treats from me but will take them from a bowl if left. He also got perched on top of the cage to entice him but he just won’t. Any tips on how to make him feel ok about leaving his cage. I got one interaction with him on my hand but that’s been it. He’s clipped so his flight is wonky. He basically used me as a taxi back to his cage haha
