Hey guys! So I’m turning 20 in a maybe two weeks from now and I have never had any type of credit card, meaning I have no credit at all, right? I have a checking and savings account with First Horizon since I was 19, which it’s not great but it does the job. I feel so behind on life since I don’t really know anything about finances and I just want some help on which bank to choose from. I wanna move from First Horizon to another bank where I can have a regular checking account, but I can also have a good/decent credit card so I can start building my credit. I live in TN (idk if it matters) so what banks would yall recommend that are good for both checking and credit card? (Credit card for beginners ofc) I’ve been trying to look up videos on TikTok on different banks, but I simply can’t choose. Also, after I get which bank I want to move to I’m also wanting to open a HYSA with Capital one since I’ve seen so many good videos about their rate. Please let a girl know what yall think and your opinions because I genuinely feel so far behind and that I’m never getting out of here. I just wanna break the cycle and having a good financial situation or at least know the basics of it.
