7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 Review after using 2 weeks– Best Bass Focused IEM Under ₹3K?

I’ve been using the 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 for more than two weeks now, mainly for watching web series, anime, and sometimes listening to songs. After using multiple budget IEMs in this range, I think I can finally share a proper opinion on it.

---

Bass Performance

Under ₹2.5K there are many good options like Duonic, Tanchjim Bunny, Castor Pro etc., but most either lack proper bass or their bass variants overpower the vocals.

Many people who are planning to buy the Red Lion for bass may get disappointed. Its bass is more about sub-bass rumble rather than punchy impactful bass. For many people it may sound flat on Red Lion, and if you try boosting bass with EQ, it becomes muddy. I’ve used Red Lion too.

Now coming to the Zero 2 — the bass quality here is excellent. It is:

- Clean

- Tight

- Punchy

- Impactful

You can literally feel that “dhak dhak” punch in your ears, but at the same time the bass does not bleed into vocals.

---

Do You Need PEQ?

I tried some PEQ on the Zero 2, but honestly I feel its stock tuning is already the best. So I use it without EQ.

That said, the EQ response on Zero 2 is excellent. If you want, you can boost the bass almost like a TWS sound signature and it still doesn’t become overly muddy.

For me, this is probably the best bass-focused IEM under ₹3K.

---

Sound Quality

Vocals and instrument separation are excellent for the price. Everything sounds clean and well separated.

Treble is also very smooth. I’m personally sensitive to harsh treble, and Zero 2 never felt sharp or fatiguing to me even during long listening sessions.

I can comfortably use it continuously for 4–5 hours while watching anime or web series.

---

Soundstage

Soundstage is decent and good enough for immersive content watching and music listening.

---

Fit & Comfort

This is one of the most comfortable IEMs I’ve used in this price range.

- Small shell

- Lightweight

- Fits perfectly in my ears

Very comfortable for long sessions.

---

Cable Quality

Cable quality is average, not bad. I think it should easily last around a year with normal use.

---

Eartips

The stock eartips are not very good. I’ll probably replace them later.

---

Good for Gaming?

If you want an IEM purely for competitive gaming, then this is probably not the best option.

But casual gamers can definitely consider it.

---

Who Should Buy This?

If you want:

- Crisp clear vocals

- Excellent instrument separation

- Decent quality punchy bass

- Smooth non-harsh treble

- Out of the box perfect tuning

- Don't want to waste time on PEQ

…then this IEM is absolutely worth considering.

Also, if you don’t like too much bass, simply reduce the lower frequencies by around 3–4 dB and it sounds even more balanced.

---

Final Conclusion

I think the 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 is a perfect all-rounder IEM under ₹3K.

And if you are specifically looking for an IEM with good quality punchy bass, you can blindly buy this one. I honestly don’t think you’ll regret it.

I want to share my experience with an unboxed IEM purchased from Headphone Zone.

Model: 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 (Unboxed)

Purchase method: Store credit

Issue:

Initially, I didn’t notice anything since the IEM came with pre-installed eartips and look like brand new, no wax or any single scratch or dent or dust.

After a few days, while changing the eartips, I noticed a slightly uneven surface near the nozzle on both earpieces.

After checking:

- No issues with sound quality

- No fit problems

- No performance issues

It seems like a minor manufacturing finishing issue, not an actual defect.

My concern:

Will this be considered physical damage during a future warranty claim?

What I did:

I contacted HPZ customer care. They asked me to send photos via email.

HPZ Response:

They confirmed that they have made a note of this issue and it will not be treated as physical damage in future warranty claims. They also said I can continue using the unit without concern.

They also offered return + store credit if I didn’t want to keep it.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this since I had already purchased it using store credit, and usually store credit returns are only possible if a defect is confirmed.

Conclusion:

I mainly wanted warranty assurance, and they handled it well. Since the issue is minor and doesn’t affect sound, I decided to keep it. Also, I feel the previous owner might have returned it for this reason.

Final Thoughts:

Great support from Headphone Zone. They responded quickly and handled the situation professionally.

I’m using the 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2, and the stock eartips are not comfortable for me and feel low quality.

I want to buy better eartips that:

● Are comfortable for long listening

● Don’t reduce sound quality

👉 Budget: ₹600 max

🎧 Options I found

  1. Audiocular Atmos

  2. Audiocular FlexiGraph

  3. KZ Foam

Feel free to suggest other options as well.

Note: I’m also looking to buy unused eartips at a reasonable price. If anyone has extra or unused eartips like Tang Sancai, He Sonic, or other comfortable eartips, please DM me—I’m ready to buy and will cover shipping.

Before getting the Zero 2, I used the Sennheiser CX80S for more than 5 years. As many of you know, it has a well-balanced sound, so I have a decent idea of how different tunings feel.

I’ve also briefly used the Waner SG 2, Red Lion, and GK Kunten for a few days, so I’ll be comparing Zero 2 with these as well.

For those who don't know: I have returned Red Lion due to channel imbalance and then ordered Zero 2 using store credit.

Review:

Sound:

I’m not very technical, but I really enjoyed the overall sound of Zero 2. It feels clean and pleasant to listen for long hours. There’s no harshness at all, so it’s perfect for long listening sessions, whether it’s music, movies, web series, or anime. Winner: Zero 2

Soundstage:

Soundstage is good, but honestly I didn’t notice much difference between Red Lion and Zero 2. Both felt similar to me. Winner: Draw

Clarity & Instrument Separation:

Very satisfied here. Instruments are clearly distinguishable, and nothing feels muddy. Zero 2 is clearly better than both Red Lion and Kunten in terms of clarity and separation. Winner: Zero 2

Bass:

Zero 2 has tight, punchy mid bass but slightly lacks sub-bass rumble compared to Red Lion.

Red Lion has more sub bas rumble and softer bass but lacks mid-bass punch.

So I think this is subjective:

If you like rumble → Red Lion

If you like punch → Zero 2

Both have controlled bass and don’t bleed into vocals.

Winner: Draw (Personally, I prefer the tighter, punchy bass of Zero 2)

Build Quality:

Both have decent build quality. Winner: Draw

Cable:

Zero 2 cable is not great, but not as bad as Kunten either. It’s usable, and since it has a 1-year warranty, I can replace it if needed.

Red Lion cable is clearly better in quality. Winner: Red Lion

Eartips:

Zero 2 has average eartips, better than Kunten.

Red Lion comes with more premium eartips. Winner: Red Lion

Final Thoughts:

If your priority is sound quality with tight and punchy bass under ₹2.5k, go for Zero 2.

If you want better accessories (especially eartips) and overall value, you can consider Red Lion, but keep in mind potential QC risks.

Note: I’ve compared it with the Kunten only where it makes sense—like cable quality and eartips. But when it comes to sound, I don’t think the Kunten is really comparable to the Zero 2.
