I’m trying to switch over to Natwest as this is the bank my partner has and we want to be in the same one and also make a joint account. I’m trying to apply through their app but it says I’m not eligible to open one. I failed the check when I provided my address (I have only been in the UK since September) and I know it’s a requirement to be a UK resident, however google says you are a UK resident if you have been in the UK for over 180 (which I have). I have a job and visa, is there a point going to a branch and seeing if I can open one there?
