My dad went to Capriotti's in New Castle a long time ago, and he said they had the best cheesesteaks ever, partially due to the fact that the bread was soft on the inside but "crunchy" on the outside. Just wondering if anyone knows how they do their bread. We are far away, so we can't investigate in person, unfortunately. Trying to get as close as possible as a home cook to whatever kind of bread it is, and whatever they do to it. (I usually use hoagie rolls and wrap them in foil to steam them. This comes out similar to how many places do it, but it's not what my dad is thinking of.)
Thank you!
