Am I being unreasonable 🤔
Hi! Just looking for some advice really 😂
We’re FTBs and our offer was accepted in December. Our vendors are buying a no-chain property, but nearly 5 months later the sellers solicitor is still waiting on replies to enquiries that were raised at the end of February.
Two weeks ago the estate agent repeatedly told us they were in a position to discuss completion dates, but our solicitor has confirmed that isn’t true as enquiries are still outstanding on the onward purchase. It’s honestly made us lose trust a bit in what’s actually going on.
Today we told our solicitor that we’d like a completion date agreed by the end of this month, otherwise we’ll start looking at other properties, as delays could start affecting us financially if we need to reapply for our mortgage and rates have increased.
Are we being unreasonable? We feel like we’ve been really patient up to this point.
