[WARNING] Scammed by a Pune Interior Firm – FIR Filed & Legal Action Underway (Dimensions mismatched, GST evasion, and Fake followers)
I’m writing this as a warning to anyone in Pune looking to get their home interiors done. I’ve been systematically defrauded by an interior firm here, and it has been an absolute nightmare. I want to share my experience so no one else falls into this trap.
I am sure if u worked with the same interior firm, you will guess the firm I m talking about.
The Fraud Breakdown:
Design vs. Reality: The work executed looks almost nothing like the designs we officially approved. Dimensions are completely off, making the furniture and layouts dysfunctional.
Substandard Quality: Even the work that is done is of terrible quality—poor finishes, structural issues, and cheap materials despite paying for premium.
The "Ghost" Handover: Over 40 days ago, they claimed the project was "100% complete" and handed over. In reality, significant work is still pending. Since then, they have gone completely silent and are not responding to calls or messages.
Financial Red Flags: They charged me extra for "unforeseen work" that I never authorized. Worse, they have failed to provide a single GST receipt or even a nominal breakdown of costs despite multiple follow-ups, which strongly suggests GST evasion.
The "Fake Social Media" Trap:
Don’t be fooled by their Instagram or social media presence. They clearly have paid followers. If you look at their comments, half of them are from bot accounts with animal-based names (like lion.6547389 or sheep.123456). It’s all a manufactured image to lure in unsuspecting clients.
Taking Action:
I refuse to take this lying down. Here is what I’ve done so far:
FIR Filed: A formal FIR has been registered at the Pune Police Station for fraud.
Consumer Forum: My lawyer is currently filing a case in the Consumer Court.
Professional Audit: As per legal advice, I am getting an independent audit done by another firm to document every dimension mismatch and pending task as evidence.
