Has anyone or their children had success with rehab eating therapies/outpatient?
My DD is now 7 and is down to McNuggets and Goldfish and sometimes Waffles. Ice Cream (Vanilla only) and Candy is still a go. But we recently finally lost the 3rd of her only 3 cereals over time, yogurt after a bad experience with one etc.
I have referal to a vocational rehab eating therapy place for her but the insurance is more than likely not gonna cover squat since she is't below 5, we had tried one during the covid years unsuccessfully.
Has anyone been helped to the point of where they got a healthy diet added to their safe foods over time from treatments like this? she is freaking out at just the thought of the place.
We can't get her to take any medicines of any kind, even after 2 months fighting insurance to get ODT's for ADHD and finally getting it she spat it in my face (No not forced, i just asked her to swallow it or take a swig of water since she kept swishing the goo in her mouth after it melted) which didn't go well for either of us because i broke down bad at how hard ive been trying for her in front of her i didnt want her to see me cry and scream at how much i love her and want to help her and she won't try.
But this is harrowing.
