I transferred some of my savings, exactly $500 (after foreign bank fees) to my BML $ acc and it seems BML has deducted a charge. Their schedule of charges states that there are fees for inward TT equal to or lower than $500, though.

I transferred exactly $500 to avoid the $15 fee, but a fee was still deducted. When I contacted Bank of Maldives customer service, they told me to check with the sending bank abroad and said that if the fee was charged by BML, it should appear on my statement.

Has anyone here transferred USD from abroad before and experienced this?

Update: foreign bank confirmed that the extra $15 can’t be charged from them. And coincidentally, $15 is the exact amount BML would normally charge for transactions above $501 🥲
