NSF NCAR Public Lecture - fluxART: Experiencing Earth system science through art [Wednesday, 5/27]

Join us on Wednesday, May 27th from 7:00*-8:30 pm (MT) for our NSF NCAR Explorer Series lecture with NSF NCAR Faculty Fellow Maoya Bassiouni, along with artists Julia Oldham and Mallery Quetawki, “fluxART: Experiencing Earth system science through art.” They will share multimedia artworks and creative insights from a year-long residency with FLUXNET,  a global network of research towers equipped with specialized sensors. Mesa Laboratory Art Displays
In addition to the lecture there are two fluxART displays at the Mesa Laboratory. Viewing sessions of September: Orange, a video art display by Julia Oldham will take place on Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th between 12-3pm at Mesa Laboratory. The video is seven minutes and will loop throughout this time. 

You can also visit the Mesa Lab library to see physical artworks on display from the series Yanhaku (Breathe In) by artist Mallery Quetawki starting May 27th. They will be on display in the library through the end of the calendar year.
