Second Thinkpad (P1 Gen 2)
I am pretty happy with using this machine for school work and just general use. I got it for RM 2300 (~ 586 USD) and it came with a i7-9850H, 32gb DDR4, 512gb, T1000, and the 4K IPS display. I threw in my previous 1tb Nvme to fill up the second slot. Just dual booting windows for school and Linux.
rn, I am running arch with Niri and switching between workspaces and windows feels very smooth. I prefer it to Hyprland and find changing the config much more intuitive/easier for Niri
I have repasted with MX-7 and undervolted with -125 mV core and -100 mV cache
For those who have the same or similar models
- How can you change the Color profile on Niri for this 4k panel, I feel like it looks way too contrasty or saturated idk
- What undervolt settings do you have?
- I am waiting my kingsener battery to arrive, how is the quality of their batteries?

Laptop would sometimes shut down randomly even if battery was over 50% charge. Then, when I would plug the charger in, it would boot up starting at 0% battery. I assume the battery is not doing so well, even with it only having ~300 cycle counts. I hope the Kingsener battery does not have this issue
