Why does the disney live action not use any of the popular humanoid species and is so different?
after seeing the new trailer of mandalorian and grogu movie, it feels like at least the live action side of the disneyverse star wars is always the same thing ever since episode 7 in terms of overall diversity from the popular species and it feels so "lonely" or empty or how to say it, like it only uses 90% humans and 10% some random ugly/weird creatures, how come that they have completely left out all of the other most popular humanoid species that are fundamental aspect of the star wars franchise alongside humans in aesthetics/attractivenes, like zabrak, togruta, nautolans, twilek, miliaran, chiss, cathar, zeltron and even pureblood sith wouldnt hurt, other than singular characters that appeared long ago they have done almost nothing else with them despite being more widespread than those creatures and monsters they use for comedic purposes
maybe got used to seeing star wars the old republic mmo which has them everywhere together with humans and one excuse is that most of those species prominent characters in live action are jedi/sith and disney takes place in a period which focuses on new order (which is human organization) but that still doesnt explain why they dont take advantage of non-force users of those species which are the vast majority of their populations still just like with humans,
about costing too much to have them in live action, they definitely dont cost more than those full cgi creatures they make which almost nobody cares about, these species look same as humans in body type and facial structure, characters like ahsoka, thrawn, shaak ti, aayla, kit fisto, agen kolar etc only needed some extra additions and not much cgi,
and about population that again isnt really an excuse because theres at least billions of them for most of these species maybe not as common in the inner galaxy but a lot more common in the outter galaxy and their homeworlds and they definitely heavily outnumber those other random sparse creatures disney uses, and they dont have to use many just a few of them
in jedi survivor for example we see a prominent nautolan female bounty hunter (caij vanda) and she was pretty good character as non-force user, and theres many other examples but not from live action, like the recent maul shadow lord that has a twilek as his apprentice
