I am working on a project where there are two buildings (A and B ). The architect was having difficulties working in their models since they were getting rather complicated so they split A and B into two different models. They have a secret 3rd model where they linked their buildings in to create their sheets, details, schedules.
This is a multi-family project, and we are creating typical sheets for each of the individual unit types (about 55). When I go to place my spaces, they populate based on the interior walls of each unit (as expected). However, the architect is hosting the room and room number information on a room created in their sheets model, which does not translate into my model. Therefore, I cannot pull the appropriate information into my model.
Complicated, I am aware. To make it more fun, the architect has their own shared parameters they use for room names instead of the revit native parameter.
Any thoughts on how to circumvent this before I go back to the architect and tell them to put them back into their building models?
EDIT: The architect was doing some funky phasing and linked views in their view templates to do it...
