I made a post a few weeks ago asking about ovary removal. But I saw a gyno last week and she recommended a hysterectomy. Kinda freaking out about it. I see my oncologist next week so I’ll ask him about it, but any insight would be nice. Did you have one? Would you recommend it? etc.

I looked into it a little, but I was seeing stuff about pelvic floor issues and prolapses and that scares me. Didn’t even know about any of that stuff. My mom had a hysterectomy back in 2012 and everything was fine for her.

I wrapped up a year of treatment in January, now I’m considering oophorectomy. Chemo put me into menopause anyway, so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna do it. All my doctors recommend it.

I’m meeting with a gyno next week, what questions should I ask?

My main concerns are bone and heart health.

If you had it done, what was your experience? Are you happy with your decision?
