I’m a college kid currently part timing at a place and there’s this gangsterish guy who’s fairly popular (let’s call him T) but hates certain people and has 0 qualms about calling them out over insignificant mistakes, which sometimes aren’t even their fault.
Like for example there was this coworker of ours who miscommunicated something the other day, and when T found out he shouted in the office ‘why did he do this is he stupid and trying to sabotage us’. The whole office heard and he just kept shouting it.
It really troubles me because T isn’t exactly fond of me either (mutual I guess), and I’m quite unsure on how to react if he pulls something like that on me. He’s a fairly ‘streetsmart’ and charismatic guy so many people like him, but those that don’t like me really don’t haha.
Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this sort of super confrontational people that air others’ dirty laundry publicly? It’s especially irritating when something was just a minor mistake but this guy blows it up simply because he dislikes the person. I’m worried that if I can’t deal with his horseshit here, I won’t be able to in the future in my full-time career
Would appreciate any input :). Especially from older adults that might have dealt with such behaviour before. Not even necessarily in the workplace but in life in general
Thanks!
