This chair has a big crack in the seat. The crack does not follow the joints in the seat. It's actually through the middle board. I have a bunch of bar clamps and glue. Is this fixable? Advice please.
I'm bored and miss group art projects. Would anyone be interested in meeting up? I have a great office in the Galleria area, many paints and musical instruments, and a background in creative writing. I used to take the adult education classes at Rice, but have taken them all to death. (Week nights are also hard for me.) I envision 2 hours on the weekend, 20 minutes of meditation or writing with prompts, then an hour and a half of wherever that takes us. Any takers or is that too nuts?
I cannot even figure out what part to order. This Knoll Art Metal Chair has no feet. No casters, no slides, no nothing. It appears to need something that has a horizontal bit extending into the leg and presumably a caster or glide. What the heck goes in here and does anyone know where to find one?
I have refinished this with four coats of linseed oil, followed by 6 coats of wipe on polyurethane. Should I now wax the top?
