Do you think it’s possible to negotiate additional PTO on my one year performance review? I misunderstood the accrual and turns out I earn literally 6hrs per month of PTO and have to work six weekends per year with no flex time.. we get paid for two hours per work each day even though you pretty much end up working 20 minutes+ every hour for 8 hours. It’s called on-call but we are actually working. I’m sorry, but this is insane. I thought it was 6 hrs per pay period, so that’s my fault I suppose.
I’ve been a dietitian for almost 20 years and this is literally the worst benefits ever.
Part of my compensation is quarterly bonuses. I’ve gotten only one in a year and it was less than a days wage.
Do you think it would be reasonable to request additional PTO and possibly even request PTO instead of the “bonuses” that we don’t actually get?
