My family/group of 10 has reservations at Refuge Montenvers one night, then we plan to hike the Balcon du Nord, and have reservations the next night in Refuge Plan de l'Aiguille. My question is if we can buy one-way tickets UP the train, then DOWN Aiguille du Midi? Is it possible to book those ahead of time, or can we purchase directly at the ticket office when we arrive? What if we decide to check out the summit, then ride down to Chamonix- is it possible to purchase that ticket day-of? The ticketing website has been confusing to figure out. I'm thinking maybe a Multipass makes more sense? I appreciate any advice!
