Looking for Excision Specialist in NYC, But Need Other Specialists
Hello everyone,
I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis based on symptoms (excruciating painful periods, endo belly, etc, plus I have family history). I have been discovering I have other conditions as well (POTS, MCAS) and suffer from migraines and alot of GI symptoms. I am feeling overwhelmed as I feel I need several specialists besides a good endo excision specialist to manage all the other conditions as well.
Recently had MRI done which was negative for endo. I am scheduled for surgery with out of network excision specialist Dr. Lora Liu and am in the process of applying for gap insurance but feel as if with negative MRI results my insurance will not cover the surgery. She referred to two specialists for POTS/MCAS but theyre also private/don't take my insurance. I don't think it is financially reasonable for me to pay out of pocket for everything.
Anyone have recommendations? Anyone have success through one of the major hospital systems in NYC?
