I recently got my S21 Ultra screen replaced at a local shop. Since the repair, the touch sensitivity is terrible:
- Clicks links/buttons automatically while I'm just scrolling.
- When typing fast, it misses letters constantly.
- The glass feels "slippery" and different from the original.
- The battery now drains extremely fast once it hits 15%, which never happened with the original screen.
When I complained, the shop tried to claim the touch lag was caused by me having Battery Saver mode turned on. I know this is nonsense because I have always kept Battery Saver activated 24/7 on the original screen and never had a single issue with touch response or typing speed. They also tried to blame the battery for the screen issues, even though everything was perfect before the screen swap.
After a lot of insisting, they finally took the phone back to potentially replace the whole unit and it will take 2 days for them to do it.
I’d appreciate any technical theories or suggestions on how to handle this with the shop. Thank you so much!
