So yeah, I'm in high school and someone slipped a note into my locker. It says "meet at the alley at 9pm" I got my essentials and went to the alley. There were 5 people in this alley of rotting garbage and bones. They said it's time for the ritual. We went into a cave. The wind always makes strange noises, very windy here, so this was expected. They said something about the moon god, but I realized there was a shrine of bones and I asked them. They said it was people who sacrificed themselves to improve humanity. They said there was a hidden passage not mapped out and escorted me to a room with a huge map saying, "This is what we've mapped out." They offered to try to go to the end and the said they hear: This is your real family, you belong here, etc. At the end was a skull; I said, "There was someone who died here." When we looked at the logs, we realized, there was no god.
