Hello again Reddit. So nearly 3 weeks ago, I made a post Abandoned Players Looking For New GM. For any new eyes we were a group that had been recruited into a game but then were "abandoned" when the DM deleted the group, ghosted, and blocked us. Still wanting to play together as we found we may mesh very well we made the post mentioned. We had such a good turn out, reaching close to 20 applicants. It was hard but we narrowed things down to 2 people and after interviews selected our new DM. We were supposed to have our session 0 this Saturday, but unfortunately today we got bad news.

The DM reported that something came up in real life that would make them incapable of running anything long term and had to step down as DM.

Naturally we were pretty devestated, we understand life comes first and have no hard feelings towards them, but it feels almost like a curse at this point. Still, we wanted to give it another go, try to find a DM that can run the game and maybe finally get something going. They say 3rd time is the charm after all!

What We Are Looking For

Someone who is POC and LGBTQA friendly.

• Our group is mostly women and diverse. So we need someone who will be comfortable with those who are gay, transgender, and those from multiple backgrounds.

A longterm roleplay heavy game with rich lore and primarily Homebrew setting.

• We aren't looking for modules, original games, lore, no matter how long and how much there is we will eat it up. We favor political intrigue, story, and background integration more than dungeon crawls.

To run the game Bi-Weekly on Saturdays with a start time no earlier than 6pm PST/ 9pm EST.

• Two of our group members are oversea's. So the game will be starting in the morning for them.
• This day and timeframe is non-negotiable as it works best for our collective schedules as a couple of us are in college/university classes.

Someone who is 21+ years old

• The lot of us range from 21-33 so someone either in that same age range or older.

To use the 5E system, primarily 2014, but open to 2024 or incorporating both, like using 2024 rules and spells for some things etc.

• We aren't looking to learn a new system. Maybe in the future, just not in the cards right now.
• We also prefer rolling for stats, and being given an option to roll HP, its just more fun to us and some of us have stat rolling methods that we use in our games as DM's that we are happy to introduce.
• Note: We are experienced in Foundry and Roll20, DND Beyond is not our favorite but not against using it.

Someone who will communicate with us!

• If there is something wrong or even if you decide you don't want to run the game or life come's up, we are adults and we get it. It hurts more that the DM just said nothing, left us to guess, rather than just talk to us.

We hope to find a game and DM that we can engage with and get excited with on lore, characters, and game moments. The kind of game you talk about for days on end. Where we get to play complex and interesting characters that we can bring to life and truly enjoy.
