My Question Regarding School Transfer Certificate (TC) Rule in Mangalore.
My daughter completed her class 7th from Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir in Mangalore. Now we (parents) got transfer orders. So, my daughter needs to take admission for her 8th standard in Trivandrum (Kerala).
But, the school here (SSRVM) refused to give TC stating that she needs to take admission first in Trivandrum and that school needs to send a request for TC to SSRVM. Only after getting the request, the school here will issue TC. But it will be sent by email and by post to the school's email and postal address only.
In short, this school in Mangalore won't give TC by hand to parents. They will only send by email and post directly to school.
I just want to know if this is a common practice for schools in Mangalore? Is it a new rule? Why complicate all this instead of simply giving TC directly to parents?
Your input will be valuable to me. I am quite tensed because schools in Trivandrum require all details to be physically submitted (TC, conduct certificate.. etc) for taking admission.
