Long time reddit user but newly joined. I made an account yesterday and started using it, joining subreddit's I frequent, and figuring out karma. Then this morning the account no longer exists?? I see an email in my inbox from last night that the email was changed and I tried to recover it but apparently the account has since been deleted.

Also a note, I went to make this new account with the same username as the old since the account has been deleted but the usernames of deleted accounts are also locked indefinitely, similar to usernames of active accounts.
