Did Jeopardy ever do “second order” corrections?

Has Jeopardy ever done “second order” corrections?

For example, say C answers and is ruled wrong and then D answers and gets it right. What I’m calling a “second order” correction would be the judges later ruling that C was right after all and giving them the dollars but then *also* taking the dollars away from D because if the judges hadn’t blown it D would have never given the opportunity in the first place. (Or if D had also gotten it wrong then giving the dollars back to D, again on the grounds that if the judges had gotten it right in the first place D would have never been able to even try to answer.)

It has irked me and my kid that they don’t seem to do this (at least not on corrections we’ve seen).

NPR - The Spider’s Web

“It’s a web like a spider’s web, made of silk and light and shadow. Hung by the moon in my room at night…”

Who sat by or laid on their bed next to the radio to hear the stories, and then could hardly wait for next week?

And what books do you remember listening to?

I am a US citizen with a SSN, who lives in the US and has only lived in the US.

I was an (quite small) investor (via WeFunder) in BeatBox, the boxed beverage company.

In February they signed a deal to be acquired by Anheuser-Busch Inbev and in early April I got my first stage payout (we're talking only around $2000) from it.

Today I received an envelope from the Ogden, UT IRS office containing a Form 8288-A showing withholding and a cover letter.

The form shows Anheuser-Busch Inbev as the withholding agent, has my correct mailing address (which is my residence in the US) and my correct SSN. Box 1 has 2/27/2026, Box 5 has the 1446(f)(1) option checked, Box 6 correctly has Individual checked, Box 7 has US as the "foreign person" country code, and Box 8 has the correct description of the property transferred.

So what am I supposed to do with this thing? The letter from the IRS enclosed with it says it needs to be reported on a 1040-NR.

But I don't file 1040-NR since I'm a resident! I, as a resident, file a 1040.

What do I do when it's time to file my 2026 taxes next winter?
