I recently bought a used 2020 ford 150 with the 5.0L 4V engine. It had a little over 80,000 miles on it. After I hit 90k miles it started missing a lot and I brought it to the ford dealership. It turns out the whole engine was bad and I needed a new one. My warranty was able to pay for the repairs but I have a dilemma, should I trade this truck in and get something else or keep it? Every time I look up opinions about this engine it’s either “this is the best engine Ford has made” or “this engine is trash, it’ll only cause you trouble”. I don’t know if the past owner just never took care of the truck or if it was bad to begin with. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
