No buds or leaves on old wood, only new growth?
I have hydrangeas that typically do grow on old wood; I noticed today that the old wood seems to actually be dead with no new growth but there are new shoots/growth coming up. Does this mean I won't have blooms this year? Why no growth on old wood and should i just cut back the old given nothing is growing on it?
