Lately it feels like something is bound up in the axle or something, kind of sounds like an old evil kneival wind up toy when it's driving, and it started sputtering when I'm trying to floor it but it'll come out of it after a couple seconds. 2 separate issues? Bad gas? Wheel bearing going out?
It used to feel like 65mph was only 55, I had a hard time not speeding but now, it seems like it's having a harder time staying up to speed. When I take my foot off the gas, it slows down quicker.
I'm getting the rear shocks replaced this week and am currently looking for front strut assemblies. I'm going to mention the above issues to the mechanic but I'm afraid he'll try the same crap the place I took it to yesterday did who just plugged in the code reader and told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it, even after I told them there were no codes popping up after explaining the issue.
Of course, taking into consideration I'm a woman, I'm sure they didn't take me seriously but I know my car and I've taken a delivery job and added 1700 miles in the last couple months. I love my angry jellybean. But something is going on with it.
I don't know if this is relevant or not but one time, I somehow managed to make the top of one of the spark plugs explode and a couple years ago, I had to replace a sensor that's located in a place requiring the removal of the entire transmission.
Thoughts?
