Moving to Tokyo with 2 kids.
Hello everyone! We are family of 4 (kids are 9 and 6). We are Indonesian and have been living in Bangkok for the past 4 years. My husband is offered a job in Tokyo, with remuneration 16mill JPY gross annually, and 5-8% bonus. Housing will be provided. My kids go to International school in Bangkok with british curriculum so English is the only language my kids know (not even Indonesian language). I would need your input here :
- Is it doable with the offer given to live in Tokyo as family of 4? Average living cost (exclude housing) would be really helpful.
2.Which neighborhood is recommended for expats?
Is it feasible for my kids to go to Public School considering international school in Tokyo is very expensive and the company won’t cover it?
Frankly speaking, how is the working environment in Tokyo? Toxic? Superiority? (For context, my husband will work in HK based company, but I would guess peers would be japanese)
If anyone knows, how’s bullying around kids in japanese public school? How bad?
