My husband and I are planning an October 2026 cruise with my parents and our son (he’ll be around 9 months; he’s the reason for the short notice). When booking the staterooms (which we haven’t done yet), the Anytime dining option was unavailable, with a waitlist, and the only set dining time was 8:30pm (we know this is only for MDR). Given the infant and my elderly (almost 80) parents, this is far too late.

How likely is it that we’ll get off the waitlist? Would calling to book result in a better outcome?

Any advice would be great.
