Prolific doesn't care how many approved submissions you've made.

This isn't a retaliatory post either; I still see the AI studies, but just letting you all know they really don't care how many good submissions you've made. I am also aware of the approved submissions vs. rejection = account hold ratios that exist, but that's not the point of this post.

Prolific is also not a "job", it is a gig and it's apparent that this is not obvious to every participant. You are replaceable to them. They are reporting higher profit than ever as well as more active users than ever. You are not important to them; it costs them basically nothing except their scripted onboarding process and identity checks to have a new user sign up, so please just keep that in mind.

You might be thinking "hey all participants already know this", but if you try typing the keywords "not fair" or "unfair" into the subreddit search bar, you'll see many posts with comments like that, showing implication that they deserve something other than just the $ for finishing the study or being screened out.

Just Ordered the Switch 2 -- Question on Packaging

If I did the "Free Shipping Contiguous United States" will it show up in Dr. Dabber branding on the outside of the package?

I'm not supposed to smoke in my apartment complex (but ofc I'm gonna anyway).

Is being rotated out actually a thing?

Or do people just check for the studies at the wrong time of day and give up checking after that?

Edit: Not counting warnings, because I think they probably do stop allowing you to do studies after receiving too many warnings.

AI Studies - Images exactly the same?

Has anyone got an image study where both images are 100% identical, pixel for pixel for the entire study? Like literally EXACTLY the same? I've also done hundreds of these so I know they're identical and not even slightly different lol.

Who has the most warnings and still receiving AI studies?

I've submitted between 300-400 of these and I'm at 3 warnings over 4 weeks for "I can't tell you why but we manually reviewed" (probably picked neutral too many times, because if we pick neutral they may as well not even be paying for the study but also it's like why even have the option for neutral at that point) and 1 warning for "you didn't submit enough responses given the allotted time", but they paid that one immediately anyway also.

I still see 166 studies, even though the site is lagging like crazy today.

I'm just wondering basically who has the most warnings and is still able to get these. In summary, my total warnings is 4 and still receiving them.

Edit: The point of this post isn't to "stress about" or find a "fix" for warnings, it's simply for me to gather data.

Is it just me, or are the studies labeled "Prolific Partner" the absolute worst? They'll either screen you out after a bunch of questions, or you'll complete the entire thing and risk getting rejected more than any other researchers. These partners often have an automatic rejection system and Prolific will favor them, because they were "pre-approved".

This feels like some "BBB" (better business bureau) level of bullshit where it totally feels like the Prolific Partners are just paying Prolific X amount of money to be labeled as a partner so people will want to do their studies more, because they are definitely not higher quality than non partners.

Anyone getting lag tonight on these studies where the videos won't load or take a long time to load?

Everything else on my internet works fine, including 4k video, it's just these studies tonight.

I wish I could do only these ones all day, as I'm sure many of you do as well lol. You can figure out which one to pick in like 3 seconds and then watch w/e on your other monitor and the best part is they have no audio.

Do you think they'll have a problem if I use parsec to control my PC and do these from my tablet in bed (It'd still be me using my "desktop" as far as Prolific is concerned, since I'm remoting into it)? Not sure if they track mouse movement on the page and would be able to identify me doing so by only seeing clicks instead of movement, but it's definitely possible for them to do so in a browser page "if they wanted". I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has done this and not had a problem?
