After some much needed advice please!
We are due to visit the LA area later this year from London with a 3 year old and 1 year old twins and for obvious reasons want to make the trip as painless as possible! Family calls so the trip is a must.
Anyway, when we visited the last couple of times with the 2 year old in tow LAX was horrible. Security was about a 2 hour wait both times and we didnt get our stroller until the baggage area which was quite unbearable. Im not sure why or when this changed but the visits before this we got the strollers at the gate off the plane. Is it luck? Change in rules? Standard practice? Advice on that bit appreciated!
This part alone with 3 kids is enough to say its not really possible so we’re looking at different options!
1 is potentially a layover in MSP , and the other Calgary before continuing to LA. The plus with both is it gives us the options of SNA and ONT, as well as LAX.
Would anyone advise for or against any options? If we done a layover in MSP OR Calgary, with pre clearance and/or clearance would that make LAX more bearable? Would the stroller situation at LAX be different as domestic?
Whilst we cant guarantee strollers off the plane at any airport im hoping the potential avoidance of LAX would somewhat help this..
Any advise on any point is greatly appreciated! Travelling with 3 kids? God help us.
