Flu flu making advice
Hi everyone,
I have a question about fluflu arrows, and not the toilet brush style.
I had some really nice arrows I got given, that flew super fast but also dropped very quickly. They had 6 feathers at a slight angle.
I tried to copy it and got full length turkey feathers (they were about 3-4cm wide I think) and cut them to the same length.
The arrow looked nice but still flew waaay too far.
I am working on flying targets while horseback riding and our performance venues are usually not huge, I can't risk my arrows going too far.
Now, most videos I saw explain how to make the toilet brush style, but am not such a fan of those (also less visible to the audience)
I was wondering if anyone had come across detailed instructions or could tell me if going on ali express and getting full length turkey feathers was the right thing?
Is there a way to make more drag? Right or left feathers better?
I am not an expert in arrow making or anything, but have so far successfully fixed any broken 3 or 4 inch straight arrow fletchings I needed repairing - but for the fluflu I need a bit more help.
Any tips, ideas or sharing of your style of fluflu that drops very quickly after a shot would be amazing.
Thank you.
