I recently completed a local triathlon. The swim was indoor and the bike and run were outdoor. Wow, the swim kicked my butt! I haven’t been swimming nearly as much as I should. It did motivate me to get back in the pool more. It also was only my third time out on the bike since the Fall.

I’m really coming here to say- is it weird to feel embarrassed about my swim effort? I completed the tri which included a 20 mile ride and 5 mile run- but I feel like I could’ve done better. Of the 80 that completed the long tri, I placed in the bottom 10.

How do you get over the feeling of “am I good enough to keep doing triathlons?” I have never felt like this before post race and it isn’t a good feeling. I am embarrassed of where I placed.
