AirBNB Spa Bath

AirBNB Spa Bath

I’m staying in an Airbnb in Sicily and the room has a spa bath/jacuzzi.

There’s a drain or vent on the step next to the bath, and we noticed that if you touch it and the water at the same time, the finger touching the water gets a shock. It’s not painful, but it’s very noticeable and it’s enough to make the finger contract slightly, like a tens machine.

Touching the water and a metal wall mount bracket for the TV at the same time also gives a less intense tingle in the finger touching the water.

Is it fair to say this isn’t safe and to ask for a refund? I realise I shouldn’t have continued testing it using my body, but we’ve now left the bath full and are avoiding touching it, just in case.

Thank you!
