Looking for an indie folk song I heard on YouTube between 2014 and 2017. It was upbeat and acoustic, male vocalist, not heavily produced.
The lyrical structure is the main thing I remember. The verses were built around a repeating parallel pattern, something like:
"They said I walked this way, so I walked this way" "They said I sang this way, so I sang this way"
...with different verbs swapped in each time (walk, sing, talk, etc.). The overall tone was positive and resilient, kind of a "life is hard but that's okay" vibe. Not angry or bitter about it at all.
That's genuinely all I've got. No idea of the artist, song name, or album. It's been driving me crazy for a while. Any help appreciated.
