Side by side into Indianapolis, this crash was this avoidable or fully my fault?

Dear Stewards :)

During a race on LMU at Le Mans, in a Gold long race with GT3 and Hypercar classes, I was behind 2 cars because of a long pit stop. They were fighting, and when 2 HY cars came to lap us, I took the opportunity to overtake the Mercedes again.

This driver was battling harshly, but he was still racing, and of course his lap times were inconsistent. Then I tried to overtake him both times, and he tried to squeeze me into a HY car making me losing speed. Then, on the straight, he tried to stay side by side until the last minute.

Here we are at the moment. I think I braked too late and caused the collision. I’m trying to understand if there was a way to go side by side into that corner and still make the move cleanly afterward, or if this was 100%.

I’d appreciate hearing your opinions about this :s

My Elegoo Carbon 2 printer has a weird feature. Apparently, when the print bed is slightly dirty, the first layer doesn't adhere properly and due to accumulation under nozzle of the material, the magnetic cover of the toolkit detaches, pausing the printing and preventing the Blop of death.

I understand that AI functions exist, but sometimes I lose internet access or it disconnects from Elegoo's servers.

I promise I won't be so careless, but what do you think? It saved me from a nasty shock when I went to sleep after a very long day.
