Hi, For anyone having difficulty meeting their medical expenses through Kaiser Norcal, I want to let you know there is a Medical Financial Assistance program. You can apply online and it's very quick.
For those alreafy on MFA who want to renew, I recommend you apply 30 days BEFORE the expiration date. Since MFA uses 30 biz days as their deadline waiting any longer leaves you vulnerable to full payment until its approved. It can take up to 30 business days to be approved. You will pay full price and need to file for reimbursement You do this by either 1. Filing on a claim on KP.org.2. Or, you can call mfa information line and they can file a grievance for you (grievance #). It's extra work for everybody because this info is not on the website, as far as I could tell..
