I could see the two being great friends, to the point of Kamala being comically jealous that her two closest male friends have great chemistry haha. I imagine that their banter is hilarious.
My choice would be Al Ewing. Based on his works on Thor, Storm, Hulk and others; I could see him doing good with Kamala and her supporting cast.
I could see them having occasional tense conversations on topics regarding their faith, especially with Kamala having a progressive point of view versus Sooraya's more traditional point of view.
Additionally I could see them enjoying Bruno and Icarus getting to know each other.
