I am so overjoyed to say that, after just over 5 months on Zepbound, I have met the main health goals I wanted to address when I started on my GLP-1 journey!!! Overall I wanted to address my comorbidity diagnoses & enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

I have lost 37 lbs after 23 shots, going slow and steady, following the “stay at the lowest effective dose” approach, supported by my PCP. I started with 2.5mg for 11 shots, and the rest have been at 5mg. I am fortunate in that I have not experienced any side effects at all with either dose.

As of my latest visit with my primary care doctor yesterday (May 4 2026):

  • I am no longer “Obese” (BMI now 29.1, started at 35.42)
  • I am no longer “Pre-Diabetic” (A1C now 5.4, started at 6.2)
  • My blood pressure has been consistently in the normal range (now around 114/65, was up around 144/77 before starting)
  • I can drop one of the three BP meds I was taking
  • My cholesterol numbers are all in the normal ranges (still taking a statin though)
  • I am in “onederland”; I haven’t weighed this low (192 lbs) in over 20 years❣️
  • With my health improvements, I am certainly enjoying a healthier lifestyle 😎

I still have a little way to go as far as weight loss as I want to get my body fat percentage into the normal range (currently at 37.8%). My next target weight is 180 lbs and then I will reassess from there and see if 170 or even 160 lbs is doable; my body will let me know when it’s ready to stop 😁
