Any way to save my car?

My back tire blew out on the highway bouncing the opposite side off the concrete barrier, the only damage includes

  • side airbags went off
  • small scratch on lower bumper
  • snapped back rim
  • (And of course) passenger back tire needs replaced

While waiting for insurance to reach out I took it to a repair shop I know and trust; they quoted $2,500 for a complete repair.

After insurance got ahold of it they took it to their own preferred repair shop, so begins our issue. The repair shop states that all cars have to leave in “like new” condition. Because of the scratch on my bumper they claim that they need to replace that, the grill, and both front seats for over $18k in repairs. Insurance decides to call it a total loss.

Is there any way to get my car back and just have the previous shop repair it like they said ? Can I just buy it back from the junkyard and re-register it after repairs?

Pics included ofc
