This upper diagonal wall situation — above the couch — has always perplexed me. I imagine a contractor would have to get into the attic and see what's going on directly above the area I circled in pink, but...
Contractors, have you ever seen anything like this? Do you think there's any chance it could be flattened so the wall above the couch could just be straight up and down?
